The Springs at Borrego features a 9-hole championship golf course with its own unique character. The David Pfaff designed course features a dramatic island green, lakes, and waterfalls, and demands precise and accurate shot making. Extensive use of desert native landscaping makes the course feel in tune with the stunning southwest style beauty of the surrounding desert vistas.
The golf course totals 3,084 championship yards, 2,894 yards from the white tees and 2,646 from the front tees. There are two par 3’s, five par 4’s and two par 5’s for the 36 par course. The course posts a 111 slope rating and a 33.9 course rating for 9 holes to challenge all skill levels.
The resort’s practice facility is over 300 yards in length with six target greens. A putting area and separate chipping area with two bunkers provide a true championship touch.
The Springs course was constructed and is maintained by renowned golf course builder Thomas Fredericks. Mr. Fredericks has built courses all over North America, including The Canyon Course at The Vintage Club in LaQuinta, California and The Carmel Valley Ranch Course in Carmel, California.
Lessons are available by our LPGA teaching professional. This first-class course is a nice trip from the Palm Springs, Los Angeles, and San Diego areas, yet far enough away to feel secluded from it all. |
